Grinding

MACHINING CARRIED OUT BY HIGH SPECIALIZED COMPANIES, ON COMETO’S BEHALF.

The grinding is a machining carried out by means of a grinding machine equipped with a fine grain, extremely hard quern. The grinding allows to get any component in the optimal and proper shape and surface, according to project requirements; this process follows the roughing step. In fact the roughing step eliminates the gross residual matter, while the grinding step finely machines the components and removes the exceeding residues giving the surface a very smooth finishing.

The grinding operations on Cometo’s components are carried out in round and plane and are granted by specialised suppliers.
